Ecobee thermostat

The problems with the nest are well documented on this site. I have a customer that has I nstalled an ecobee on his heat pump and is having issues. I checked it out. Wired correctly, checked continuity on all wires to unit. Unit runs fine with jumpers on wires.
Any ecobee stories you guys can share with me?
