I soaked an aluminum crankcase off a Honda dirt bike in POR 15 cleaner/degreaser for a couple hours washed the case with dish soap and hot water. The case is now dark gray and when I rub the case with a towel black oxidation rubs off. First, what did I do wrong, second, how can I clean the case so it is a nice bright silver color like it was before I cleaned it?
